Evaluation - What Have You Learnt About Technologies From The Process Of Constructing This Product?
Software I used:
Technology I used:
My camera to take all the photos:
My memory stick to tranfer files between school and home:
Challenges:
- Whilst creating my products, I came across some problems. The problem being that I had created my product at home on Serif PagePlus X2 but the software at school was Serif PagePlus 11 which would not open publications from newer software. This meant I had to save everything as a PDF file and open it in PagePlus whilst at school and then save it back into PDF form to take it home again.
What have you learnt:
- I have learnt how to use many different softwares such as blogger and slideshare which I had not previously used before.
- I also learnt that I had to adapt quite a lot of my work because of the different softwares at school and at home.
Evaluation - How Did You Attract/Address Your Audience?
- I address my target audience by making and submitting a questionnaire before making my magazine so that I could include everything that they wanted in one music magazine.
- Below is the questionnaire I submitted to 15 people aged between 15-21:
Other Comments: _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
- Also in my article, I used short paragraphs and short sentences and informal language to keep them interested in the article itself and this language it what appeals to teenagers and makes the magazine seem more friendly and shows that it is aimed at their age group.

Evaluation - What Kind of Media Institution Might Distribute Your Media Product and Why?
- After previously researching the different media companies that produce some of the top music magazines, I have decided that I would have Bauer Media Company produce my music magazine.
- This is because they have been very successful with other magazines such as Q:
and Kerrang!:
and other magazines such as heat:
and EMPIRE:
all of which are very successful magazines.
- People may say that because they have produced such good music magazines as Q and Kerrang! that they would be in competition with one another. I would say different because they cover different music genres so people who like indie and rock will buy Kerrang!, people who are older and like classical/pop music will buy Q and people who are young and like pop music will buy my magazine.

Evaluation - How Does Your Media Product Represent Particular Social Groups?
- My magazine is aimed at both genders ages between 15-21. These are students and also keep up to date with music by listening to it on their iPods whilst on the move and music channels on the TV at home. Also they are big on fashion and looking good when they go out and are sometimes influenced by what music stars where whilst on stage and when they're at home.
- If I compare my image taken to one of Miley Cyrus who is a well known pop star and is of a similar age to the person used in my image so you can see the similarities.
- They are both wearing a skirt and high heels and are in similar posed position. This position is very friendly and is a common position for posing. Also both their hair is curled and both are smiling with their teeth on show. This shows that they are comfortable with what they are doing. It also gives a friendly feel and seeing this makes people buy the magazine because they know that it is going to be friendly and it shows that there is another side to teenage stars because they are friendly and they can be sociable with other people.
- Also having a female pop star on the cover of a music magazine attracts the male gender because they think that she is pretty and will buy the magazine to look at other pictures of her.
